Who are they?
Spectrum CIC also known as Spectrum Autism Friendly Festivals, is a community interest company based in the East Midlands Derbyshire. The company was established in November 2019, with aims of creating an supportive and inclusive environment for autistic and neurodivergent children and young people with families (Company House, 2024).
There main flagship event that they host is the Spectrum Autism Friendly Festival, which takes place in Matlock, Derbyshire. It hosts a wide range of fun activities like high ropes, ziplines, soft play and sensory zones catering for different age groups (Lee Green, 2024). The overall goal of this event is to accumulate a welcoming environment where children can be themselves and caters can also connect with people (Spectrum Derbyshire, 2024).
Alongside the primary festival, the organization hosts additional smaller events such as the Spectrum Mini-Fest, which provides a more subdued and personal atmosphere, making it particularly suitable for young children and newcomers (Spectrum Derbyshire, 2024).
